National Lutheran Schools Week (NLSW) is almost here! With that exciting news, that means there is a lot going on next week. All students were sent home with a flyer that has the dress up days, penny wars info, and activity schedule on it. All students are encouraged to dress up and show some school spirit - I will be! On Wednesday, "Country Day", we will be wearing the colors of Russia - our country. The colors are red, white, and blue. However, if you happen to have some traditional Russian garb, feel free to wear that!
Here are some things to put in the calendar:
Lutheran High School would like to encourage all students who are interested to submit their applications for high school before the end of the month. Early Enrollment allows the school to plan their staffing and supply needs, and can save each family up to $100 on their Enrollment fees. Fees go up on February 1st. If you have any questions, please contact Deidre Barnett, Admissions Director at 317-787-5474 or [email protected]. Go to www.lhsi.org to apply today! Thank you for your help! And we're at the end of another busy week, and somehow, over half way through January!
With our indoor sports in full swing, I've noticed several 8th graders with some injuries of some sort. Hopefully this long weekend allows for some rest, relaxation and HEALING! RICE is their friend (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation), even with as much as they may want to be out and about! Just a few reminders as we go into next week:
As our winter and (hopefully soon to come) spring ramp up, I pray this weekend allows for some rest and quality family time. Have a great weekend and stay safe in the coming winter weather! Happy Friday!
We made it through a whole week of school after being off for two weeks and I would say that's an accomplishment! We got right back into the swing of this and are gearing up for a busy spring. With that said, there is a lot to remember and get on the calendar.
Mackinaw News: Pizza Sales are still going on! If your 8th grader forgot, be sure to remind them and keep selling! $6 from every item they sell is added to their Mackinaw account. That can add up fast! If they are needing another form or have any questions, have them come talk to me and we'll get everything arranged. Pizza order forms WITH the money are due on January 23rd. Shortly after that, orders will be called in. Then, on February 4th, the orders will be delivered to school and those who purchased from 8th graders can pick up their orders. After the Pizza Sales, a balance of each student's accounts will be sent home so that parents and families can plan for the remaining balance. If you ever have any questions about any of this, please let me know! Have a great weekend! |
